Three Monkeys Restaurant Phuket

Hey guys,
In this blog post, I’ll tell you why I think Three Monkeys is hands-down the best restaurant in Phuket, and why you shouldn’t miss it if you’re visiting!
If you’re planning a trip to Phuket and wondering where to go for an unforgettable dinner or lunch let me stop you right here – Three Monkeys Restaurant is a must.
It’s not just a restaurant, but a whole vibe. Honestly, it’s one of those places that sticks with you long after you’ve left. Between the jungle-inspired design, the amazing food, and the magical atmosphere, it’s more than just a meal, it’s an experience.
I hope this post helps you decide if it’s worth adding to your Phuket itinerary….spoiler alert, it totally is.
Location & How to get there
Let me start with the basics. Three Monkeys Restaurant is located at 105 M.4 Chaofah Road, Phuket, located right in the heart of the rainforest. Getting there is pretty easy if you’re staying in Phuket. I was at Anda Beachside Hotel and grabbed a taxi via the Bolt app, it took us about 40 minutes. Prices vary depending on your group size and car, but honestly, a taxi is the way to go.
Pro tip: Make a reservation. Trust me, this place gets busy, especially for dinner. We went in the evening, around 7PM, but I can imagine it’s just as beautiful (maybe even more so) during the day.
The Design
Ok, let’s talk about the real star here, the design.
The second you walk in, it feels like you’ve entered a jungle oasis, but in the chicest, most Instagramble way possible. It’s massive, with different seating areas, each with its own vibe. Honestly, I couldn’t even pick where to sit because every corner was so unique and cozy.
At night, the lighting transforms the place into something straight out of a dream. There’s this warm glow everywhere, thanks to the wooden lamps, tunnels lined with plants and twinkling lights, and open-air seating that makes you feel surrounded by nature. It’s authentic, earthy, and just… magical.
And it’s not just about food here. If you visit during the day, you can also try activities like Luge Cart Riding, Ziplining, Roller Ziplining, or take a peaceful Skywalk through the forest. I skipped those since I just wanted a chill dinner, but it’s good to know you can turn this into a full day out. (You can check out all the activities here).
Honestly, I’ve never seen a restaurant like this before, it truly feels like the best restaurant in Phuket not just for the food, but for the atmosphere too.

The Food (aka the reason I’m still thinking about this dinner)
Now, let’s get to the important part, the food and drinks.
Honestly, every single dish was pure happiness for me. The menu is a mix of traditional Southern Thai dishes and international favorites. We were a group of six, and instead of picking just one or two dishes each, we decided to go all in and order a bunch of things to share. We had no regrets , except that at one point, the waiter kindly told us we might want to stop ordering 😂 and he was right as we couldn’t eat all of it, the portions are big !
Here are some of the dishes we tried (and loved):
Soups & Starters:
- Coconut milk soup with prawns, bitter green beans, and coconut shoots
- Coconut milk soup with prawns and local vegetables
- Pineapple red curry with pork/mussels/prawns
- Tom Yum Gung (spicy sour soup with prawns/seafood)
- Deep-fried vegetable spring rolls
From the sea:
- Steamed white snapper with chili lime sauce
- Stir-fried bitter green beans with glass noodles
- Steamed squid with chili lime sauce
- Deep-fried white snapper with garlic
- Deep-fried white snapper topped with spicy herb salad
Desserts:
- Thai sticky rice with mango and coconut milk
- Poached banana in sweet coconut milk
- Monkeys banana balls with vanilla ice cream
Just a heads up, if you’re not into spicy food, tell the waiter when you order. Some dishes bring the heat, so be careful.
For a drink, I went for their signature cocktail Sum-kai and honestly, it was wow. You can check their full drink menu here.
You can also check how the dishes look on their menu link, trust me, they taste even better than they look.
I’d say the menu alone could make Three Monkeys the best restaurant in Phuket, but combined with the decor, unbeatable.

Why Three Monkeys is the Best Restaurant in Phuket
Look, I’ve been to a lot of restaurants while traveling, but Three Monkeys stands out because it’s not just about the food, it’s the whole experience. From the decor to the atmosphere to the little thoughtful touches, like couples being able to surprise their partner with a pre-arranged bouquet during dinner, how cute is that, it feels special.
The staff were amazing too, super polite, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure people felt celebrated. I saw a few birthday surprises that night, and it honestly added to the warm vibe of the place.
It’s these details that make it more than “just dinner.” It’s a memory. And in a world full of tourist traps, finding a place that feels authentic and unforgettable is just rare and needs a shout out.
